Fox, Fucktards, and Funnies

As we watch as Fox "News" yet again gets busted for journalistic
inepitude, those of us who haven't yet drank of Murdocks Kool-Aid
can't help but wonder how much longer will this joke of a network be
taken seriously?
What really gets my goat is, not only southern fucktards are being
hoodwinked by this organ of the Republican Party, but evidenty so is
the Obama administration.
How many times will they fire or force a resignation from one of there
own, simply because an idiot like Beck Hannity, or Brietbart, who has
absoultely no credibility with thinking people, distorts or out right
lies about an Obama underling?
Fox "News" serves two purposes. First is to make sure that the
corporate interests are protected. Second is to boost ratings among
the Christoids and Fucktards living in the Red States by appealing to
the lowest common denominator.
The rubes in the backwoods of Alabama, Tennessee, ect eat that
bullshit up like a starving hobo on a plate of gravy and biscuits.
Fox "News" has gotten very clever with their subtle messaging.
While standing in a TSA screening line this morning at Huntsville
Airport, a blathering cock sucker on their so called "Morning News"
was throwing code words out like " liberal" to his monkey audience.
While most thinking people never would consider "liberal" a dirty
word, the Fox audience does.
Thanks to the Bastard Regan, the fucker Gingrich, AM Hate Radio, and
of course Fox, no politician can ever apply the "L" word to himself.
So the Fox asshole trying to act all professional and independant,
just covering the news, managed to throw the liberal word in a dozen
times in a fucking minute.
This is what Fox does. They are not there to inform people. They are
there to spread lies about people they don't like.
How can anyone believe these clowns? It is simple.
The Fox bosses know their audience. And they know that if anyone can
believe that the human race exists in part because of a talking
snake... The will believe any fucking thing.

This too shall pass

I have had my share of difficulties in the last few days. But that's not really what this blog is about. We all go through tough times now and then. It's simply part of the human condition.
This afternoon I went out on my balcony to get some fresh air and a break from daily chores. I'd been feeling a little sad, a little lonely. I have a wonderful view from the balcony and it usually cheers me up to go out there.
As I sat there enjoying the calm I noticed a large white cloud. directly above it was a small, black one. As I watched, the dark little cloud dispersed, leaving the white cloud basking in a soft, golden glow.
I couldn't help thinking, "This is the way life is". We can let the little black clouds overwhelm us and completely miss the golden moments, or we can simply let the darkness disperse and find our calm in the aftermath.

Age and the Oil Spill

In 2008, when Barack Obama won the Presidency, I began to feel that I was aging. President Obama is the first President in my lifetime that is younger than I am. Since April, 2010, I have begun to feel another indication of my age. It is with much sadness that I realize that I will die before the full effects, much less any rehabilitation of the damage caused by BP's disaster in the gulf will be realized. It is a sobering thought.

let's blog something

Dear Spacetrucker,
When are you going to give us another of your pearls of wisdom? I concur with our fellow blogger that this site has too long been neglected, so I have added my piece, as Eve has added hers. Lets get this blog running again...please!!!!!!!!

When congress ignored the first amendment

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
And yet, consider the history of the Natives of our country. Rounded up, placed on reservations and punished for practicing their religion, speaking their native tongue and embracing their own culture. Even today, the rights of our native brothers and sisters are being violated by rules and laws that should never have applied.

God in School

Alright, I have been fussing for weeks now about this blog and Spacetrucker's negligence (You hear that, Spacetrucker?) so I guess it is up to me to get back to it.

There is a constant uproar by the Christians about putting God back in school and a muted fight by Atheists to keep that from happening. While I am an atheist, I see nothing wrong with teaching Judeo-Christian history in school, as long as it is taught in the framework of history and not dogma, and as long as equal time is given to other faiths and their contributions to history. However, I do not believe that teachers who put illustrations up on their walls purporting to teach American history and the history of our founding fathers, with the various mentions of God are doing so to teach history. Judge for yourself, but what I see is a calculated effort to push their faith and make a political statement with American history as a veil of legitimacy.

Touching Lives in 140 characters or less

Today has been a quiet day on Twitter, at least for a group of Tweeps I, @warriorblue, am privileged to call friends @spacetrucker @babykk09 @kritner @Asimov7 @sherriwilson @lilbughi. Someone who had only recently become a friend to most of us, @BamaRock28 passed away last weekend and we are missing him.

While some of the group have met each other, I had never met @BamaRock28 in person or even heard his voice. It seems strange that you can miss the presence of someone who you have never laid eyes on, but I suppose this is the new reality of life. You can now touch people's lives in 140 characters or less.

@BamaRock 28 - Peace to you, my friend.
